No two slabs are alike, which is exactly why a photograph of a sample is never enough to choose from.

What you should know before you buy

The ideal countertop is nonporous, non-staining, heatproof, durable, easy to clean, scratch resistant and good looking. Quartz gets closest to all seven at once, which is why it has moved so quickly from a specialty product to the default choice in most of the kitchens we build.

Granite is the other side of that coin. It brings veining and depth no engineered surface reproduces exactly, along with genuine heat resistance, across an enormous range of colour. It asks for sealing where quartz does not, and plenty of homeowners consider that a fair trade.

On longer runs a seam is unavoidable, so the craft is in placing and matching it. A vein-matched seam uses sequential slabs cut from the same face, so the veining carries across the join. A book-matched seam mirrors two slabs from opposite faces, so the pattern opens out like a pair of pages. We work with MS International, Cossentino, AZ Tile and CityQuartz, and we finish with roughly a dozen edge profiles to choose between.

Quartz selection

Natural veining, real heat resistance and a colour range no engineered surface matches. Sealed on installation.

Seam matching

Vein-matched or book-matched, chosen for your slab and placed where it reads least, then cut to suit.

Roughly a dozen profiles, from a simple eased edge to a full ogee, previewed against your own stone in the visualizer.

Which areas do you serve?

We work out of two locations. Our Arizona shop is at 5411 W Orange Dr, #11 in Glendale, covering the greater Phoenix area, and our Georgia location is at 950 Lochwolde Lane in Bethlehem, covering the greater Atlanta area. Call or text (770) 744-3667 and we will tell you straight away whether your address falls inside our service area.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Decoriam is licensed, bonded and insured, and our Arizona license is ROC #322753. We are also Schluter Systems certified, which matters most in bathrooms, where the waterproofing you never see is what keeps the tile you do see sound for decades.

What countertop materials do you offer?

Quartz and granite are the two we install most. Quartz is nonporous and resists stains, scratches and impact with very little upkeep, while granite brings natural veining and real heat resistance. We work with MS International, Cossentino, AZ Tile and CityQuartz, and we will always send you to see your slab in person, because no two are alike.

Can I see the design before the work starts?

Yes, and we would rather you did. Your layout is drawn and rendered in 3D so you can walk the room before anything is ordered. We also have a visualizer for countertop edge profiles, so you can compare roughly a dozen options against your own cabinets and stone rather than guessing from a sample board.

How do I get started?

Send a quote request with your project description, location and a preferred date, or email info@decoriam.com. We are in Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and closed weekends. From there we book your consultation, measure the room, and get your design and pricing in front of you.
