With a scheme this pale, every reveal and every joint is visible, so the work has to be clean. The counters are a veined quartz that reads like marble without the sealing and the staining, which matters in a kitchen that gets used properly rather than admired.
The island was sized to seat the family on one side while keeping a full working run on the other, and the pendants were dropped to light the prep surface rather than the floor. Warm brass hardware stops the white from turning clinical.
